Author Guidelines

  1. Submissions to the Journal of Wellness are received with the understanding that all material is original except where properly referenced. Science submissions are preferred in Vancouver format, double spaced, and in the English language. It is also understood that all submitted manuscripts have not been previously published, and are not currently under consideration by another journal. For further information regarding format and accepted manuscript type, please see Formatting. For information about the mission of the Journal of Wellness and what we therefore seek to publish, please see Scope.
  2. The submitted manuscript is understood by the Journal of Wellness to be the agreed upon submission of the entire author group. The submitting author is responsible for communicating with other authors and relaying any concerns and edits to the Journal of Wellness.
  3. In the publication / edit phase, we ask that you keep article communication with third parties to a minimum to ensure the protection of the peer review process and the anonymity of your contribution.
  4. All research articles and review articles published in the Journal of Wellness undergo thorough peer review: double-blind review by two independent peer reviewers. Letters, editorials, case reports and humanities pieces are reviewed by both editors in chief, and usually one blinded reviewer.
  5. Regarding the peer review process: upon initial submission, your article will be reviewed by one of the chief editors.  If your contribution is found to be without formatting or ethical concerns, and also found to be of potential academic value, it will be forwarded on to blinded peer reviewers if it is an article type that requires peer review.
  6. Peer reviewers will remain anonymous to the authors, and will make recommendations regarding publication and edits. Their recommendations are reviewed as a whole and returned in entirety to the submitting author. The submitting author will consider further contributions and responses to editor concerns. Editor recommendations are non-binding except when explicitly identified as such by the chief editors.
  7. The Journal of Wellness prides itself on timely return and editorial response. We value freedom of information and appreciate your submission. We want to share your findings in their best form possible, as soon as possible. If for some reason you feel there is an untimely delay, or you are concerned about publication, please do not hesitate to Contact Us.
  8. We aim to simplify the peer reviewed publication process while preserving its integrity. When ready to submit please visit: Submit a Manuscript, and login or create an account.
