Brian Ferguson, DO, MPH, is an active duty doc with the United States Air Force overseeing medical operations for Pope Army Airfield, NC, currently also practicing as an attending physician with the UNC Health Southeastern Emergency Medicine Residency Program, and is Gratis Faculty at the University of Louisville. Dr. Ferguson transitioned from a background in physics, into the health and medical field. In 2012 he was invited into the Pathways of Distinction Program in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), culminating with a thesis study in Early Childhood Development. Dr. Ferguson is a graduate of the University of Louisville Emergency Medicine Residency Program and was Chief Resident in 2017. Competing in gymnastics throughout medical school, Dr. Ferguson’s interests include exercise, nutrition, sleep, and cognitive vitality. In August 2018, he took 1st place overall at the Keesler Air Force Alpha Warrior Competition. Brian is married with 2 children, and enjoys piano, writing, web design and literature.
